Come hungry for Foodfort today! There’s a full day of talking about food and eating food at the Basque Center*.

Filmfort 2019’s first showing of the fest features Ham on Rye, starting at 7pm at Hilton Garden Inn*. Ham on Rye uses an expansive ensemble of over 100, including non-actors, shoegaze musicians, 90’s Nickelodeon child stars and more, to explore a suburban community’s relationship with a prom-like ritual and the decay of the human spirit. The film is a two part effort that seeks to capture all of the innocence and joy of youth, only to be abruptly halted by the bleak realities of adulthood.

Before the film, watch One Dog Gone Summer, a short film about a boy that wants to make sure his doggy goes to heaven.

Music Talks are held at Trailhead*, and are free and open to the public. Join us at 1pm as leaders from indie labels, distribution services and radio address this issue and share tools to successfully navigate the industry’s ever-evolving landscape.
