Foodfort is excited to bring back the annual chef-farmer-food community dinner on Wednesday, March 25, this year featuring James Beard Award-winning chefs Abe Conlon & Adrienne Lo of Chicago restaurant Fat Rice, as well as another Street Eats event, a market-style shindig inspired by night markets around the world, with Foodfort alum and James Beard Award-winning chef Hugh Acheson and local chefs providing tastes + samples of their delish dishes.
Foodfort alum and James Beard Award-winning chef Hugh Acheson will return for Foodfort Tastes and will collaborate with local chef Sarah Kelly of Petite 4.
Foodfort Talks are all ages and open to the public, Foodfort Tastes are ticketed events for 21+. Foodfort Tastes & Talks will take place Friday through Sunday of Treefort 2020 (March 25-29). Admission to non-ticketed Foodfort events is included in a Treefort pass.
A NIGHT WITH FAT RICE
Wednesday, March 25, 6-9pm @ Basque Center (21+)
Foodfort is excited to bring back the annual chef-farmer-food community dinner (21+) on Wednesday, March 25, 6-9pm, at the Basque Center. This year we’re featuring James Beard Award-winning chefs Abe Conlon & Adrienne Lo of Chicago restaurant Fat Rice.
Fat Rice is a celebration of the unique cuisines of Portuguese speaking Luso-Asian provinces, with an emphasis on Macau, China. As a major hub of the spice trade beginning in the 16th century, the tiny peninsula and adjoining islands of Macau are home to a quickly diminishing culture and an almost forgotten cuisine.
Tickets are $150 (price includes wine). Only 100 seats available!
FOODFORT CHEF COLLAB: SARAH KELLY + HUGH ACHESON
Saturday, March 28, 5-8pm @ Petite 4 (21+)
Foodfort is excited to bring together prominent local chef Sarah Kelly of Petite 4 & Treefort alum and celebrity chef Hugh Acheson for a five-course collaboration dinner (21+) at Petite 4 on Saturday, March 28 from 5-8pm.
Tickets are $175 (price includes wine). Only 46 seats available!
STREET EATS
Thursday, March 26, 5-8pm @ Alefort
Street Eats returns to Foodfort on Thursday, March 26 from 5-8pm in Alefort. This market-style dinner is inspired by night markets around the world featuring small plates created by Treefort alum and celebrity chef Hugh Acheson and chefs from local eateries. Foodforters can graze on bites from Madre, Petite 4, Hyde House, Adelfa’s Comida Cubana, The Grill Dads, Sunshine Space Cafe, and Mai Thai, with dessert provided by Figgy Bakes and the STIL. Gluten free and vegan options will be available. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
Tickets are $35 and are open to all ages with or without a festival wristband.
In an effort to keep Treefort green, all beverages at Foodfort will be served in steel cups only. Bring your steel cup or rent one from Foodfort. Treefort Green Team will also be trying out using bamboo plates and reuseable cutlery at Street Eats.
