Music Talks 2020

Explore the world behind the music at Music Talks 2020!

Music Talks are music industry panels presented by Treefort Music Fest that connect music business leaders, artists, and those involved in Boise’s music ecosystem. Music Talks 2020 will host workshops and panels with industry leaders working in music supervision, publishing, publicity, management, record labels, radio, streaming, policy, and artist advocacy.

Music Talks will take place Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28 at the Hilton Garden Inn, with select events at Boise Rock School. Music Talks are free and open to the public.

Here’s what we’ll be chatting about at Music Talks 2020:

MUSIC TO LIFE

Thursday, March 26, 11-11:45am @ Hilton Garden Inn
Are you an Activist or Social Change Musician; or would you like to understand how you might utilize your music to help make the world a more just and humane place…without sacrificing your own livelihood? Music to Life is a national nonprofit founded by Noel Paul Stookey (of the folk trio, Peter, Paul & Mary) and his daughter Liz Stookey Sunde. MtL has been building activism through music for years – collaborating with artists and mission-driven organizations to develop transformational events and programs that align people with causes and empower vulnerable populations.

Music to Life has developed a business model – the Activist Musician Accelerator – to help connect artists with the support, resources and partners they need to be change agents in their communities…and they’d like to meet you and learn about your interests and needs.

This survey will take perhaps 5-8 minutes of your time and then you’ll have a chance to meet with Liz Stookey Sunde – individually or in small groups – at the festival to further discuss your needs and interests in this area.

Panelists:
Elizabeth “Liz” Stookey Sunde
