Effy K is an Oregon-born, Boise based DJ. She became interested in DJing 8 years ago while watching her husband play and asked him if he would teach her. She is currently a resident at The Balcony Club, a former Crowbar resident and has recurring guest sets at Amsterdam Lounge. Her favorite styles to play are Deep, Progressive and Tech House and loves to curate a chill, deep and yet danceable vibe. As a DJ, she has been involved with many local collectives such as We Out Here, Kaleidisco, OG Persona, Altitude Lounge, Boise Burners Alliance, Charlatan, Radio Boise, Konnexted Club Night, Club Fluidity, Signal and LIT@The Balcony. She’s been featured at several local events and festivals like Sensory Illumination, Pussy Cat Ball, Altitude Oasis, Women By Women, ILLUMiBRATE, Idaho Decomp, Fright Fest, Sun Valley Wellness Festival, Treefort and Yogafort. She has played special events at The Reef, The Neurolux, Strange Love, The Shredder, Payette Brewing, Lost Grove Brewing, Xanadu, Jump Center, Treasure Valley Skate, Lounge at the End of the Universe, Sage Yoga & Wellness, Boise Hare Krishna Temple, Zee’s Rooftop, Riverside Hotel and The Boise Train Depot. She came in 3rd place for Best DJ in Boise Weekly’s Best of Boise 2019.
