Erica Deshner Cornwall
Erica started as a dancer and refocused her ambitions as lighting tecnition beginning with Idaho Dance Thretre in 1999. She moonlighted as a video cable page to get through school and eventually saved enough money to travel to England in 2001. This is where she discovered an underground art show with levels of mediums to inspire creative minds, she fell in love with film and video as an art. Armed with a Analog camera she wanted to capture everything about the UK and Ireland. She came back and worked full time at the Big Easy concert house in Boise ID, and this is where she meet her true love thanks to the guidance of a strange named Henry.
Erica knows her way around a set, both theatre and video production. She’s completed a feature length documentary and is currently working on the next. She enjoys Directing, producing, running camera and audio but her true on set love is Art Direction.
She designed her own degree, an Interdisciplinary Art Studio Study at Boise State University. Combining her fine arts, theatre, dance, drawing and photography, then devoting her senior year to video. She became part of the Idaho International Film Festival. After a few years as the assistant to the Technical Director and eventually the Technical Director in 2008 and 2009.
Since then she continued working for local television and behind the scenes in theatre. In 2017 she is a partnered in her own production company Argos Productions. Making documentary films and providing video work for Non profits. In addition she has enjoyed being assigned as the assistant to the stage manager in 2017 and 2018 for Ballet Sun Valley which featured some of the worlds most accomplished dancers. In July and August 2021 she returned to this role that brought her the most joy. She continues to seek out opportunities and design her best life.
