Games, Interactive Media and Mobile technology (GIMM) degree program
The Games, Interactive Media & Mobile technology program at Boise State University prepares students to create the experiences that manage the technology in our work and personal lives. Routinely professionals interact with online tutorials, websites, tablets, smart phones, and video streaming. The GIMM major provides students with the skills to execute work in all of these areas.
Hackfort continues to be a great way for GIMM students to share their projects with the community. Over the past two years, GIMM students enjoyed showing their senior virtual reality (VR) projects using the Oculus Rift. Additionally, the Dev Club, a club dedicated to game design and development demonstrated their VR game, titled, Droid Slam. The NASA-SUITS group, which includes many GIMM students, displayed their mixed reality experience using the Microsoft HoloLens during previous Hackfort events as well. Students look forward to more time spent with the community and industry professionals provided by Hackfort. Come see us at Hackfort and experience the interactive and innovative projects our students create.
