Originally from Durban, South Africa, Gary V (fka Prism Tats) relocated to the U.S. after years of playing in local bands and working on solo projects. Since his self-titled debut was released in 2016 on ANTI, Gary has landed support slots with indie-rock icons like Guided By Voices and Nada Surf, toured on his own and with a band, and continued to write and record steadily. In 2018 he released his sophomore effort Mamba on ANTI- and a 3rd “album in slow motion” in the form of 10 singles over the course of 2019 and 2020.
