About

My name is Geoffrey McCauley. I am a Louisiana Native who has lived in Boise Idaho for the past
four years. throughout my life I have had a gift for art. I was born with Localized Epidermalysis Bullosa on
my feet, which kept me from being able to do physical activities that’s why I believe I have this gift. if I
was not drawing on paper I was drawing in the dirt. From a young age I was taunted for not being like the
other kids in school, this actually helped me become even better at what I can do.. By the time I was in
High School People recognized me for my achievements as an artist and their opinions shifted. This is
what shaped me into who I am today.
I am very open to others needs. I have flaws but I I use them in a way that has a positive outcome. I
am a good listener and teacher, though not always perfect, I believe this is what makes me unique. I
never liked the term “Fine Art” because nothing in the art world is perfect. I enjoy watching others create,
because it inspires me to create as well.
Art has made a positive impact on my life. It has helped me to become a better person. That is why I
want to make an impact with others who have this gift and lost the ability to practice it, by spreading the
love of creativity at the time helping erase the stigma surrounding homelessness.
I am highly skilled in Abstract art and have a unique way with my techniques, which are my own. Also
within my floral art , I use abstract as a background and before I begin I study photos, take walks to gain
a better understanding of how the flowers look at all angles and stages of their lifecycle, then practice on
paper or cheap canvas
I use a wide variety of mediums including acrylic, latex, and Oil/Alkyl Based Enamels. Sometimes I
find that I don’t need a brush or marker instead pick up whatever tool or stick i find lying around that feels
natural because I paint from my heart and express with my soul.
