Patrick Hertz spent the majority of his career working as the Director of Sales for a boutique music library where he was able to place music with Fortune 100 companies, such as; Google, Walmart, Microsoft, Airbnb, IBM, and Nike. He has also worked with ad agencies all over the US to help them find the best music for their clients, including; Publicis, Wieden+Kennedy, VMLY&R, Leo Burnett, and many more. When everything changed in 2020 he started a Dawn Patrol Music, a boutique sync licensing catalogue, with his partner Katy McIlvaine. Dawn Patrol represents mostly independent artists for sync licensing and also partners with other independent labels and publishers (including Della Music/Della Blue Publishing and The License Lab) to be their third party sync team. Since opening for business in November 2020, Dawn Patrol has worked on a Super Bowl commercial, landed a custom composition job for Makers Mark and have had placements with Showtime (Shameless), NIKE, Samsung, and the NY Lottery (via McCann NY).
