Self care is the chosen recording / performing moniker of Santa Rosa, CA native, currently living in Portland, OR. Live the band is a revolving cast of extremely talented friends (Ryan’s words). Self Care, the self titled record (velvet blue records) is a meditation on friendship and interpersonal relationships. It’s hard to pin down Self Care to a specific genre, but the far ranging sound of the band resonates with fans of 60’s Phil Spector productions all the way to more modern bands like Deerhunter and Omni.
