Gregory Rawlins and Mike Surber were a pair of singing songwriters who moved to Seattle in the winter of 2004 with the sole purpose of starting a rock band. In love with Northwest rock and inspired by folk singers, poets, and the natural surroundings of Oregon and Washington, they were quickly drawn to Seattle musicians EJ Sander (bass) and Seth Johnson (drums)— and Sons of Guns was born.

These four pals continue their rituals of cabin-retreat songwriting sessions, sweaty dive bar gigs, and self-made U.S. tours. The next chapter of the band’s story comes in the form of their 5th studio album, Emerald Evergreen. The full-length LP is available March 2020.
